Cable & Wireless Communications Buys Bahamas Telecommunications Stake

LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Cable & Wireless Communications PLC (CWC.LN), a provider of communications services, said Wednesday it has signed agreements with the Government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to buy a 51% interest in The Bahamas Telecommunications Company Limited, or BTC.
