Holidays GB Moves To Holidays O In Time For 2012

As part of a new Travel Affiliate Marketing Strategy, Cruisegle is making some major changes to its Holiday related websites including moving websites such as Holidays GB to Holidays O.


Holidays GB; itself a new website has been moved over to Holidays O to be ready in time to sell 2012 Holidays. The move was sparked by the recent acquisition of Holidays O by Cruisegle a UK based travel website.

Cruisegle say “The move is part of our overall search engine optimisation strategy; Holidays O is a .co.uk which fits better with the demographics of its target audience.”

Although only about 1% of the websites pages are currently built; more are being added daily; Holidays O is already showing some ranking in the search terms. Cruisegle went on to say “Initially we shall be going for the term Holidays 2012 as this should generate enough traffic to get us through the first year; after that more generic terms will be the goal.”

Cruisegle do not sell holidays themselves and neither will the new website; instead it will be using an affiliate scheme with a couple of UK based travel agents in order to generate revenue.

According to Cruisegle “Affiliate Marketing has changed over the last couple of years and so we have decided to work with a number of suppliers so that we do not get caught out in any possible loss of income through company failures.”

The Marketing plan makes sense considering how many UK based travel agents have gone bust in the last 18 months; some with many thousands of clients stuck abroad. Another thing to take into consideration are things like the recent “Ash Cloud” which cost numerous companies many thousands of pounds in lost revenue as well as repatriation headaches.

“By not selling directly, Holidays O will generate an income without all the worries of repatriation and to some extent company closures” say Cruisegle.

The new website has been started and already features 2012 Caribbean Holidays and 2012 Turkey Holidays ; if things go to plan the website should be finished before January 2012.
