"You know the story: In the beginning God created heaven and earth, on the sixth day he invented Heavy Metal, and on the seventh day the creator of the universe rested; his ears ringing from all the power chords he created. And these power chords needed power vocals and that's why Jimi Jamison and his angelic voice is such an important sound today. And you know HIS story: his career as a lead vocalist started in the 70's with TARGET, in the early 80's with COBRA and then with SURVIVOR where his versions of "Eye of The Tiger" from the movie ROCKY and "Burning Heart" from ROCKY IV made his delivery and sound unmistakable and identifiable all over the world. He also co-wrote and sang the theme song for the #1 most seen TV show "BAYWATCH" and to put this in the proper perspective: in many parts of the world there are more people familiar with this song than with any Lennon/McCartney composition.
