Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) was down in the last traded session on rumors doing rounds that sales of its latest iPhone may be waning. The Wall Street Journal reported that the company has "cut its orders for components for the iPhone 5 due to weaker-than-expected demand."

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) sold about 1 million units of its Surface tablets in the fourth quarter of 2012, according to the estimates of an UBS analyst. UBS analyst Brent Thill said that due to the tepid sales of Surface, Microsoft’s earnings during the fourth quarter could be lower than expected.

The Company also designs and sells hardware, and delivers online advertising to the customers.
