In 2006, I started an activist campaign to push for change at the CEO level and board of Yahoo (YHOO). I wish I had more vociferously suggested that then COO Dan Rosensweig had been tapped for the top job. Unfortunately for Yahoo, he didn't get tapped for the job and soon left the company.
