Wolverine takes home its first ever Polartec APEX Design Award for the versatile Pioneer jacket from the 2007 apparel line. The Pioneer, selected for Wolverine’s outstanding and innovative use of Polartec fabric, will be prominently featured in the Polartec booth at the Outdoor Retailer show, as well as throughout the year on the Web and in various marketing initiatives.

The Pioneer jacket stands up to the toughest challenges, perfect on the work site or the weekend. Polartec fabric helps make the Pioneer wind-resistant, water-repellent, breathable and extremely durable. Wolverine has incorporated comfort and ease-of-wear details into the jacket, including no side seams and reinforced pocket openings.
Winners are selected based on style, function and fit of the garment, as well as on the most innovative and appropriate uses of Polartec fabric in the designs. Polartec fabric is water- repellent and provides durability and abrasion resistance. Candidates for the awards must be made of mostly Polartec fabric for consideration.
