Regal Entertainment Group Brings Award-Winning Films Back to the Big Screen

Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, today announces the latest edition of its “Classic Film Series” at more than 50 participating locations. The six week film series will include award-winning films with screenings every Sunday and Wednesday beginning Sunday, February 23.

“Many of the favorites for this year’s awards are now playing in our theatres, providing Regal fans a chance to see them before Oscar night,” said Ted Cooper, senior vice president of film at Regal Entertainment Group. “During February we have programmed more than half of our 7,400 screens with current Oscar nominees. And now we are adding this opportunity for moviegoers to come see several award-winning classics during the height of awards season.”

Tickets for the “Classic Film Series” are available online and at the box office. Showtimes are 2:00 p.m. on Sundays along with both 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. showtimes on Wednesdays:

“This Classic Film Series is a fun way to celebrate the awards and remember past winners,” said Ken Foreman, vice president of film marketing at Regal Entertainment Group. “These six films are extremely diverse in content, subject matter, genre and talent. It provides moviegoers an opportunity to see their favorite classic on the big screen or enjoy it for the very first time.”

Regal Crown Club members receive 50 extra credits for seeing any three films in the series and 100 extra credits for seeing all six. Extra credits will be awarded at the conclusion of the series. Through the industry-leading Regal Crown Club, patrons accumulate credits with each purchase at the box office and concession stand. Rewards include free popcorn, soft drinks and movies. Free membership is available at every Regal Entertainment Group theatre.
