Extended Stay America Announces 2014 Annual Meetings of Shareholders

Extended Stay America, Inc. (NYSE:STAY) (“Extended Stay”) today announced its 2014 Annual Meeting of Shareholders (the “Extended Stay 2014 Annual Meeting”) will be held at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) on May 21, 2014 at the Everett Building, Suite 100, 11525 N. Community House Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28277. ESH Hospitality, Inc., (“ESH REIT”), a subsidiary of Extended Stay today also announced its 2014 Annual Meeting of Shareholders (the “ESH REIT 2014 Annual Meeting”) will be held at 11:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) on the same date and at the same location as the Extended Stay 2014 Annual Meeting.

Shareholders of record of Extended Stay at the close of business on March 21, 2014 will be entitled to notice of, and to vote at, the Extended Stay 2014 Annual Meeting and any adjournment or postponement of the meeting.

Deadline for Shareholder Proposals: Shareholder proposals, including proposals to be considered for inclusion in Extended Stay’s proxy statement relating to the Extended Stay 2014 Annual Meeting pursuant to Rule 14a-8 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, intended to be presented at the Extended Stay 2014 Annual Meeting must be received by the Secretary of Extended Stay not later than 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on April 11, 2014.
