Coast of Maine Organic Products, Inc. recently achieved OMRI listing for Quoddy Blend Lobster Compost, Bar Harbor Blend Premium Potting Soil, Schoodic Blend Cow Manure Compost, Monhegan Blend Black Earth Topsoil and Lobster & Kelp Plant Food.
The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) is a national nonprofit organization that determines which input products are allowed for use in organic production and processing. OMRI Listed® products are allowed for use in certified organic operations under the USDA National Organic Program.
“ We are very pleased to receive the OMRI listing,” said Carlos Quijano, Coast of Maine President and Founder. “We have always worked closely with the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association to make sure our products meet high organic standards. Having the OMRI listing will allow us national recognition for practices we have had in place regionally for almost twenty years.”
