Genesis Energy, L.P. Chief Operating Officer to Resign

Genesis Energy, L.P. (NYSE: GEL) announced today that its President and Chief Operating Officer, Steve Nathanson, has provided notice that he intends to resign those positions effective April 30, 2014 to spend additional time with his family, church and community affairs in Louisiana and Mississippi. He has agreed to serve in an advisory capacity for the next three years to ensure a smooth transition and the completion of several major projects.

“Steve has been a critical component of the partnership’s growth and success since joining us through an acquisition in 2007,” said Grant Sims, Chief Executive Officer. “He is well respected in our industry and in the communities in which we operate. We thank Steve for his many contributions and wish him nothing but the best.”

Genesis Energy, L.P. is a diversified midstream energy master limited partnership headquartered in Houston, Texas. Genesis’ operations include pipeline transportation, refinery services and supply and logistics. The Pipeline Transportation Division is engaged in the pipeline transportation of crude oil and carbon dioxide. The Refinery Services Division primarily processes sour gas streams to remove sulfur at refining operations. The Supply and Logistics Division is engaged in the transportation, storage and supply and marketing of energy products, including crude oil, refined products, and certain industrial gases. Genesis’ operations are primarily located in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Wyoming and the Gulf of Mexico.
