State Street Global Advisors Appoints Chief Operating Officer of US Intermediary

State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), the asset management business of State Street Corporation, has announced the appointment of Nick Good to senior managing director and chief operating officer of the US intermediary business. Good joins from BlackRock, where he served as head of strategy and business development for the Asia-Pacific region.

In this newly created position, Good will be responsible for overseeing sales and business strategy, as well as driving intermediary business growth through new and existing channels. He will serve as a resource to existing and prospective clients and, as a member of the senior leadership team, he will develop strategic initiatives to continue to enhance SSgA’s leadership position in the intermediary business. Good will be based in Boston and report to James Ross, executive vice president, head of US intermediary distribution and global head of SPDR ETFs.

While at BlackRock, Good led the iShares ETF business in Asia, growing it into a leading player in every major ETF market in the region. More recently, Good led a broad range of strategic initiatives including client development, corporate development and other growth opportunities for BlackRock in Asia-Pacific. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Oxford University.
