Hotspots provide free web access outside the home for MetroCast High Speed Internet customers
PRLog - Jul. 15, 2014 - MetroCast Communications, which provides video, Internet and phone services to over 200,000 residential and business-class customers in nine states, has launched outdoor WiFi hotspots in multiple locations in its service areas in Connecticut, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Mississippi.

The hotspots provide free, wireless web access outside the home for MetroCast residential customers already subscribing to MetroCast High Speed Internet or High Speed Ultra.

MetroCast customers with wireless-enabled devices may access the WiFi signals from their smart phones, tablets, laptops and other wireless devices by selecting “CableWiFi” and logging-in with their MetroCast account credentials.

“MetroCast customers will enjoy access to the Internet outside the home, which not only is a great value-added convenience, but also will allow users to get the most out of their mobile devices while saving on their data plans,” said Andrew Walton, Vice President of Marketing & Communications for MetroCast.

Fifty hotspots are now active and MetroCast expects expand that number in the months ahead.  For a list of current locations, see www.MetroCast.com/hotspots.
