Allison+Partners announced today the opening of its Singapore office and the addition of Serina Tan as vice president. Ms. Tan is charged with client service, business development, increasing the agency’s brand awareness in the region and growing the Singapore team. She has developed and delivered communications programs for clients across the Asia Pacific region and will work closely with the Allison+Partners’ Asian and European partner agency network.

With expertise in strategic planning, consumer marketing, digital media, issues management, corporate and internal communications, Ms. Tan’s client experience includes consumer products and services, technology, food and beverage, tourism, automotive and professional services. She developed a cause-related program for HP that was implemented internationally and used in a global advertising campaign, achieved multi-million dollar ROI for a regional HP product launch and worked with the biennial Global Forum on Intellectual Property for three consecutive terms. She played a key role in some of Singapore’s most noteworthy PR campaigns, including the launch of the first McCafé, McDonald’s “I’m lovin’ it” launch and the brand refresh for the Singapore Zoo.

“Opening our Singapore office is another important milestone for Allison+Partners,” said Andy Hardie-Brown, co-founder and COO of Allison+Partners. “Serina Tan is a proven entrepreneur with a track record of growing client business and we are thrilled she has joined our senior team. Based on current levels of business activity we will more than double our Asia Pacific headcount over the coming year.”

“I am delighted to join Allison+Partners, a firm with a reputation for its focus on good work and a highly collaborative culture,” said Ms. Tan. “I look forward to delivering that same level of passion, innovative thinking and dedicated service to clients and helping to grow our Singapore office in the coming years.”

Ms. Tan has provided counsel for some of the world’s biggest brands, including Bosch, Reckitt-Benckiser, McDonald’s, LEGO and HP. Prior to Allison+Partners she was regional account director at Porter Novelli where she led consumer, corporate and technology accounts. Ms. Tan has lived in Singapore, Japan and Malaysia. In addition to English she is fluent in Chinese and Japanese. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Japanese Studies.

Ms. Tan and her team have been hired to develop and implement a comprehensive public relations program for Plaza Singapura, one of Singapore’s largest and most iconic shopping malls along Orchard Road.
