America's Got Talent informed Reel Ting Steel Drum Band that they were 'scouted - noticed' while playing a recent charity event and subsequently nominated to compete at the studio in New York.

In the summer of 2014, Reel Ting Steel Drum Band band manager George Pollis received correspondence from the executive producer of America’s got Talent. The band was scouted/noticed while performing at a Charity Tennis Event @ The Breakers in Palm Beach. In attendance were Mike Ramos VP at Mailbox Records and CEO of Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett, Singer /Songwriter, and Tim Gannon, founder of Outback Steakhouse and Bone Fish Grill.
After this honor Reel Ting continued its summer celebration along with The Checca Lodge located in Islamorada, the Florida Keys, as its preferred vendor for Caribbean style entertainment. For over five years Reel Ting has been providing Wedding entertainment, Celebrations, and Corporate events at the Checca Lodge.
Reel Ting Steel Drum Band also celebrates its Seventh year as a preferred vendor at the prestigious ‘’Ocean Reef Club’ located in Key Largo, Florida Keys. Catering Director Rupert Rodriquez, Gives Reel Ting “Thumbs up” for their entertainment quality and professionalism and dedication over the years. “A Big ‘Thank You” goes out to George Pollis and The Reel Ting Steel Drum Band for its participation in the Ocean Reef Charity Foundation 2014 event.”
The Ocean Reef Club Foundation has been the source of numerous grants and charity giftings. In fact, two of its members started the Wounded Warrior Foundation to give back to our nations heroes.
The Reel Ting Steel Drum Band has been actively involved with charitable organizations like the Ocean Reef Club Foundation in giving back to the community and the nation. Reel Ting is a preferred vendor for many of the entertainment and charitable venues in and around South Florida and the Florida Keys.
