Deutsche Bank today announced that Tom Humphrey will join as Head of Corporate Banking & Securities (CB&S) in North America, managing the firm’s investment bank in the region.

Humphrey will report to Colin Fan and Rob Rankin, Co-Heads of CB&S and members of the Group Executive Committee, and to Jacques Brand, CEO of Deutsche Bank North America and member of the Group Executive Committee. He will be based in New York and serve on the Global CB&S Executive Committee as well as the North America Regional Executive Committee.

Colin Fan and Rob Rankin said: “We are pleased that Tom has decided to join and are confident that he will further our goals as a leading investment bank with a strong North American franchise. The region continues to be vital for CB&S and our global strategy.”

Jacques Brand said: “Tom is joining us at an exciting time as we see great upside in the CB&S organization and connectivity across our franchise as the financial services industry continues to evolve. His vast experience on both the buy-side and sell-side is invaluable, and I am confident he will complement our existing leadership team in North America.”

Humphrey will join the Bank with nearly 30 years of experience and was previously a Partner, Executive Committee Member and Global Head of Business Development at GoldenTree Asset Management. Prior to GoldenTree, he spent over two decades at Lehman Brothers and subsequently Barclays Capital and served as a management committee member at both organizations. At Barclays, he served as the Americas Head of FICC Distribution and as Global Head of FICC Sales.
