TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco 2014 Announces Startup Battlefield Finalists

TechCrunch today announced 26 finalists for the Startup Battlefield at this year’s TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco. Each year, the conference brings together tech titans, noted thought-leaders and experienced entrepreneurs to offer unique insights into industry topics-of-the-moment – and to highlight the best and brightest of the year’s new startups.

Captured on television’s hit show “Silicon Valley” and happening in front of a rapt audience at San Francisco’s Pier 48, Startup Battlefield gathers emerging companies to demo on a worldwide stage. From Monday, Sept. 8, through Wednesday, Sept. 10, competitors will fight it out and pitch their products live on the Disrupt stage in front of a panel of Silicon Valley’s finest, including venture capitalists, notable tech influencers and tried and tested innovators, for a shot at a $50,000 prize and the Disrupt Cup. Winners will be announced at the closing awards ceremony on Wednesday evening at 6:15 p.m.

Since it began in 2007, the more than 400 companies that have participated in Startup Battlefield have raised more than $2.4 billion in funding, and the stage has launched household names including Mint, Yammer, Dropbox and Fitbit.
