UQM Technologies and ReGen Nautic USA Make Waves in the Marine Industry

UQM Technologies Inc. (NYSE MKT:UQM) announced that the UQM PowerPhase® 100kW electric motor and controller system provided the power for the Abel Yachts LightWave Ampere to set a European speed record for Unlimited Electric Runabout on September 23, 2014. The yacht maintained an average speed of 32.9 knots (60.9 kilometers per hour) with two adult passengers over a measured mile. The Ampere weighs in at 1,020 kg, and has an all-electric range of 74.1 kilometers at 37 kilometers per hour and a range of over 148.2 kilometers at a speed of 11.1 kilometers per hour. The speed record was witnessed and certified by the Croatian Registry of Shipping.
