CACI Awarded $32.5 Million Contract to Support Development of Sensor Technologies for U.S. Army

CACI International Inc (NYSE:CACI) announced today it has been awarded a $32.5 million contract to support the development of specialized technologies for the U.S. Army’s Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD). This two-year (one base plus one option year) contract was awarded under the Rapid Response – Third Generation (R23G) contract vehicle. As new work for CACI, it expands the company’s business in its C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) market area.

NVESD, known as the “Night Vision Lab” and located at Fort Belvoir, Va., conducts research and development of advanced night vision and other sensor technologies, such as infrared weapon sights and surveillance systems, that enhance the effectiveness of our Armed Forces in nighttime and limited visibility conditions. With this contract, CACI will provide program management and systems engineering support for the development, testing, and fielding of electro-optical and infrared sensor components and countermeasures, which detect and identify air, sea, and ground targets.

CACI brings a strong track record of experience supporting NVESD with technical, management, and engineering solutions. CACI’s program managers, engineers, and technology specialists have extensive experience providing support services to help build the advanced sensor technologies the Army requires to increase Soldier awareness of threats and adversaries.
