Former Fortune 250 CISO Michael Eisenberg Joins Accuvant

Accuvant, the authoritative source for enterprise information security, today announced that former Aon plc vice president and global chief information security officer (CISO) Michael Eisenberg has joined the company as a vice president in the Accuvant Office of the CISO. In his new role, Eisenberg is responsible for providing guidance to security leaders within enterprise-level organizations to enable them to think differently about security strategies so they can change, innovate and be more successful.

Eisenberg brings more than 20 years of information security experience to Accuvant. While at Aon, he was responsible for implementing a global information security program that delivered an information protection and governance framework in accordance with Aon’s business objectives while enabling global business growth. He established strategy, policy, and standards while ensuring the protection of Aon’s information assets.

Prior to Aon, Eisenberg held several roles at McDonald’s including serving as the organization’s global information security program director. During his tenure, he was accountable for all aspects of the global information security and risk management program, the governance of outsourced security providers, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Prior to his private sector experience, Eisenberg received formal training in information security from the U.S. Air Force, where he held a top secret clearance and worked on classified simulator systems.

“The increased prevalence and complexity of cyber attacks has made information security a board-level issue at corporations across the world,” said Jason Clark, Accuvant’s chief security and strategy officer. “Michael offers Accuvant’s clients his expertise and advice gleaned from real-world experiences of protecting the data of two of the nation’s largest brands. We look forward to working closely with Michael to help more organizations visualize and communicate their security strategies and priorities so they can create clear paths to success.”

The Accuvant Office of CISO is a street team of seasoned CISOs who have each built some of the largest security programs for Fortune 500 companies and, collectively, have worked with hundreds of organizations this year alone. The team’s mission is to bring value to the CISO community by helping executives think differently about their information risk strategy so they can change, innovate and be more successful.
