CANADA STOCKS-TSX boosted by Repsol purchase of Talisman

TORONTO, Dec 16 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index ended more than 1 percent higher on Tuesday, boosted by a 46 percent surge in Talisman Energy Inc shares after Spanish oil major Repsol said it would pay $13 billion for the independent producer.
