Saks Fifth Avenue to Unveil Its Spring 2015 Magalog

Luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue will unveil its highly anticipated Spring 2015 Magalog in store on March 4, 2015. The Magalog, a modern continuation of its traditional catalog, is the largest spring issue in Saks Fifth Avenue’s 90 year history.

“Differentiation is key. To stand out in our industry, one must create assets with wow factors,” said Mark Briggs, Chief Marketing and Creative Officer of Saks Fifth Avenue. “The Magalog has that wow factor with strong editorial content, the best runway trends, and designer and artist features … it is the modern day catalog.”

Consisting of 240 pages, the Magalog contains engaging editorials, curated fashion for both men and women, and exclusive stories from renowned industry influencers. The spring issue debuts March 4, followed by two more installments for Fall and Holiday. For the first time, readers can access the shop-able, digital version via saks.com, powered by Amplience®.

COVER STARS

The stars of Disney’s new, live-action film Cinderella, in theatres March 13 – Lily James (Downton Abbey) and Richard Madden (Game of Thrones) - will appear on the covers of the Spring 2015 Magalog with exclusive interviews inside, including the film’s director Sir Kenneth Branagh. Lily and Richard are the first of many celebrities who will grace the pages of the Magalog.

WORD ON THE AVENUE

The book opens with Word on the Avenue, an editorial update on what’s new and notable in the fashion world. The launch of Giamba – Giambattista Valli’s youthful new collection available exclusively at Saks – is one of the many exciting stories contained within the spring issue. Additional Word on the Avenue stories feature designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, designer Dee Ocleppo, photographer Karl-Edwin Guerre, artist Langley Fox, and designer Norma Kamali, among others.

FASHION STORIES

The Spring 2015 Magalog highlights the most captivating trends from the spring runways, including ‘70s revival, fantasy fabrics, and athleisure. These big-idea themes define the spring 2015 fashion season and are intertwined in the Magalog’s visual elements, editorial statements, and more.

Saks Fifth Avenue collaborated with photographer Jennifer Livingston and fashion editor Giovanna Battaglia to produce Exposure, a provocative seventeen-page spread exploring the world of lingerie atelier. This feature, among the several others enclosed within the issue, exhibits Saks Fifth Avenue’s editorial creativity and bold interpretation of spring 2015 fashion.
