AXA Proudly Sponsors the 2015 ReelAbilities Film Festival

AXA, a financial protection and retirement industry leader, announced today that it is an official sponsor of the 2015 ReelAbilities Film Festival, the largest film festival in the country dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories, and artistic expressions of people with disabilities.

“We are proud to sponsor the ReelAbilities Film Festival and join in promoting inclusion and awareness through the arts,” said Mark Pearson, chairman and CEO of AXA US. “Film is a powerful medium for celebrating differences, inspiring change and encouraging understanding.”

The 7th Annual ReelAbilities: NY Disabilities Film Festival marks the largest New York edition of the festival to date, in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Presented by the Jewish Community Center (JCC) Manhattan, the ReelAbilities: NY Disabilities Film Festival will take place in over 35 venues across New York City and around the state, March 12-18. The festival will kick off on March 12 with an opening night gala at the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, which Pearson will attend along with AXA employees.

AXA ABLE (Awareness of overcoming Barriers and creating a Lifestyle of Equality), an AXA employee resource group, is committed to fostering awareness of people with disabilities and special needs within AXA and the communities in which we do business. This will be AXA ABLE’s 4th year participating in the ReelAbilities Film Festival.

A nationwide tour of the festival to 13 cities will follow the New York launch through the remainder of 2015. As a regional sponsor, AXA participated in the ReelAbilities: Houston Disabilities Film Festival in February, and will take part in the Chicago festival (Sept. 10-13), and the New Jersey festival (Nov. 13-20).

AXA Advisors financial professionals who have experience in special needs financial planning will participate in many of the events throughout the ReelAbilities: NY Disabilities Film Festival. For more information on special needs financial planning, go to www.axa.com.
