11th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest Launches with a New Prize

Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com, an online company specializing in providing brides with fiscally savvy tips for a fabulous wedding, has teamed up with Charmin for the fifth time as they host the 11th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest. For the first time ever, the winning dress will inspire a real-life design to be created by a Kleinfeld Bridal designer to be announced at the contest’s conclusion.

For over a decade, the Cheap Chic Weddings Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest has challenged creative minds from across the nation to create a wearable, on-trend wedding dress and corresponding headpiece from only toilet paper, glue, tape and a needle and thread.

“This contest has grown immensely over the last ten years and we are always in awe of the beautiful gowns that are created by the contestants,” says Susan Bain, Cheap Chic Weddings Co-Founder. “We specialize in making weddings chic on a budget but these designs often surpass even our imaginations!”

Even though the competition has been going on for more than ten years, designers still manage to challenge expectations and surprise judges every year.

The top ten dresses, and their designers, will be flown to New York City to participate in a fashion show finale event hosted in Kleinfeld Bridal’s stunning store. At the show, each design will be judged by members of Cheap Chic Weddings, Charmin, Kleinfeld Bridal and by celebrity guest judge, host of “Mikie Saves the Date” on FYI Network, event planner Michael Russo. The first prize winner will not only see their design created into a beautiful gown, but will also walk away with $10,000 while the second and third prize winners will receive $5,000 and $2,500 respectively.
