Pepco says fixing transmission equipment issue in southern Maryland

WASHINGTON, April 7 (Reuters) - Power company Pepco Holdings Inc said on Tuesday it experienced a dip in voltage in the Washington area that was caused by "an issue with a transmission line," after widespread outages were reported at government buildings and other facilities.
