Tiger Field Board of Directors along with the local community have launched a charitable funding campaign on GoFundMe.com/TigerField. The campaign is in aid of restoring Tiger Field in Rockport, TX. The community started this project and needs to raise $50,000 for the restoration.

Tiger Field Board of Directors along with the local community, today announced its launch of a charitable funding campaign on GoFundMe.com/TigerField in aid of restoring 'Tiger Field' in Rockport. The community needs to raise $50,000 to complete the project. The main reason for restoring the park is to help motivate the local community and children to participate in physical activities. The field is specially designed for baseball and softball games.
Speaking to the media, a representative of Tiger Field said, “We are glad to launch a charitable funding project for the restoration of the Tiger Field. Our team along with the local community is working really hard to make the park an appropriate place to play baseball and softball games. We will add many facilities to the field to make it perfect for playing games. However, we do not presently have the capital to carry out the necessary upgrades. That’s why we have launched a charitable funding campaign.” He further added, “We hope to raise the required amount shortly so we can complete our project as soon as possible.”
The community will address different aspects in restoring the field including the cleaning of field, fencing, painting, general repairs and more. The latest machinery and technology will be used to complete the project more quickly. All the work will be done under the supervision of professionals who are also donating their time to the project.
Tiger Field has a long history. It was founded by the Tiger baseball team and many tournaments have been hosted on the field over the years.
The community has already completed few phases of the project. A double batting cage has been installed on the field. Bathroom fixtures have been replaced and the concession stands repainted. To promote its project, the community is also planning to host a kickball tournament on the 9th and 10th of May.
