Amazon Echo Fans Users Group on Google Plus are sharing the latest tips and information on how to use the Amazon Echo.
PRLog - July 11, 2015 - Following the recent release of the Amazon Echo, Raleigh-based success coach and sociall media consultant Martin Brossman has created a new Google Community dedicated exclusively to the new product called "How to use the Amazon Echo. The community now includes 187 passionate owners of the Amazon Echo, who are not affiliated with Amazon in any way other than simply by being fans of their product. Martin Brossman is assisted in moderating the community by Dan Foye, who enjoys playing with new technology, and Jeff Wilson, who has a passion for full-home automation.

The Amazon Echo is a voice-activated cloud-based computer that accepts commands under the name “Alexa” in a similar fashion to Apple’s Siri. The device is designed to pick up and digitize voice signals from anywhere in a room. Echo integrates with Amazon Prime, making it easy for users to add items to their shopping lists, play music and query the internet with a hands-off interface.

“Right now, the big technology players are aggressively working to develop the perfect digital assistant,”  Brossman said. “People are more likely to trust technology if it has a human persona. Now it’s a matter of seeing which technology will really take hold. I was one of the first to own one and it is our alarm, news source, music to go to sleep by, weather information and much more. I'm so looking  forward to seeing this technology develop more.”

The Amazon Echo Google Community provides a platform where users can join a conversation about the product in a non-promotional environment. Users can find product photos, reviews, different applications for the device and Echo-specific information on a variety of other topics. The Community also provides a news feed with updates on new Echo features.

“I saw an opportunity here to create something that offered better value than a typical user forum, Brossman explained. "Google Plus is a rich resource for sharing information. Google Communities are especially powerful for disseminating highly relevant information to the people who are interested in getting it. We hope to help the technology develop more effectively.”

The Amazon Echo currently retails for $180 and is available for purchase to the general public.
