UPDATE 1-Insurer Travelers profit boosted by lower catastrophe losses

July 21 (Reuters) - Property and casualty insurer Travelers Cos Inc reported a stronger-than-expected quarterly net profit as catastrophe losses almost halved and the company recorded a gain from the resolution of tax issues.
