PRLog - Aug. 7, 2015 - NEW YORK -- NY METS, YANKEES, JETS and GIANTS legends, TV, Entertainment and Radio personalities and many corporations joined with the SKTCF at the PIX11/SKTCF 12th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament and Dinner, August 3, 2015 at Scarsdale Golf Club, NY to honor NY Yankees legend Roy White.

The event included a day of golf and tennis, followed by brunch, a putting contest, lunch and drinks on course, a cocktail hour with entertainment, silent auction, dinner reception, live entertainment by opera singer Jerry Costanzo and honoree Roy White Sports Award.

Eddie Amarante, founder of the Blue Horizon Charitable Foundation (BHCF) and Brian Mehling, M.D. chairman of the board, were both recognized during the event as apparel sponsors. They also generously donated a two- week stay at a villa in France, which was auctioned off for $10,000 during the live auction, to benefit the SKTCF.

Dr. Mehling stated, “It is an honor and privilege to be involved with SKTCF. It's extremely important to raise awareness about this type of cancer. As we learned tonight, every hour of every day in the United States one man will be diagnosed with testicular cancer. This disease is 95 – 99% curable when diagnosed and treated in its earliest stages."

“Sean fought a brief, intense battle with cancer. He was unaware of his cancer until very late when severe back pain sent him to the doctor. He was a young, healthy, vibrant man, intelligent and kind … his life was cut short in its prime, he was only 37”, said Noah Kimerling, SKTCF's President and Founder. “The Foundation’s goal is that all men will have the information they need about the disease, its symptoms and what to do about them so that more cases will be diagnosed early, and lives saved”.

Dan Abrams, Media Personality and Reporter; Ottis “OJ” Anderson, SB XXL MVP; Paul Anthony, Full Force; Stephen Baker, Former NY Giant; Chad Cascadden, Former NY Jet; Richard Caster, Former NY Jet; Rick Cerone, Former NY Yankee; Kristin Cole, PIX News Reporter; Jerry Costanzo, Singer; Mario Diaz, PIX News Reporter; Doc Gooden, Former NY Met and Yankee; Dyrol Joyner, PIX News Reporter; Sukanya (Suki) Krishnan, PIX Morning Show Host; Jackie Martling, Comedian; Curtis McGriff, Former NY Giant; Mary Murphy, PIX News Reporter and many others were in attendance.
