House of Hope is announcing a charitable event on August 29, 2015, in partnership with the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office. Tickets are priced at P250 with all proceeds going to the diagnostics and continuing treatment of children and supportive care for patients with cancer.

House of Hope (HoH) announced today they would be the beneficiary of Philippine Charities Sweepstakes Office’s (PCSO) special draw on August 29, 2015. First prize of this draw is P500,000. Children afflicted with cancer who are staying in HoH, also called Kids of Hope, are the direct beneficiaries of this.
PCSO says they’ve always admired House of Hope and the work they do in helping children afflicted with cancer. They’re thrilled to be able to give to an organization that has given so much and done so much good over the years.
They said anyone who buys the ticket at P250 each will get a chance to help children afflicted with cancer as 100% of the proceeds will go to the diagnostics and continuing treatment of children and supportive care for patients with cancer at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC). Dubbed as the largest public hospital in Mindanao, SPMC houses the Children’s Care and Blood Diseases Unit with a dedicated multidisciplinary team which caters to the care of children with cancer.
About House of Hope
House of Hope was founded in 2007 and serves children with cancer in areas in Mindanao with poor access to existing specialist care. The organization helps promote early child cancer detection to improve survival and chances of cure for children. It has served more than 2,700 patients and 4,000 caregivers since it was founded in 2007. Every year, almost 150 new patients from all over Mindanao come to seek treatment. Majority of these patients are indigent with no place or family to stay with in Davao whilst ongoing treatment.
House of Hope has created a significant impact in the improved survival of most and cure for some children with cancer by promoting compliance to therapy and decreasing treatment abandonment. It has enhanced the quality of life of many children afflicted with this unfortunate disease. House of Hope is a unique and impressive project which has revolutionized the care of child cancer in Mindanao. HoH is a project of the Rotary Club of Waling-Waling Davao and Davao Children’s Cancer Fund Inc.
