New Sam’s Club Brings Pickup Shopping Innovation to Norfolk

Sam’s Club will open its first location in Norfolk Thursday, Nov. 5, offering more savings, services and shopping convenience to local families and business owners. Doors open at 741 East Little Creek Rd. in Norfolk following an 8:30 a.m. grand opening ceremony.

“We’re excited to open our doors in Norfolk and bring legendary member service to a cross-section of military, business, education and residential communities,” said Club Manager Kevin Nesbitt. “Members will enjoy discovering new items and saving on several new benefits, including travel, auto buying and our convenient Club Pickup ordering service.”

Club Pickup

Sam’s Club is the only warehouse club in Hampton Roads to offer Club Pickup convenience for on-the-go shoppers. Club Pickup enables members to order household or business items at SamsClub.com that will be available for pickup in less than 24 hours. Members can also build and save shopping lists online for easy reordering. The Norfolk club will also feature mobile check in for Club Pickup, which enables members to use the Sam’s Club mobile app to notify club associates when they arrive at the club to pick up their order.

New Club Donates more than $20,000 to Community Nonprofit Groups

Celebrating the greater Norfolk community, Nesbitt and Sam’s Club associates will award more than $20,000 to several local nonprofit organizations at the grand opening event. Grant award recipients include:

  • The Union Mission Ministries
  • Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD)
  • USO of Hampton Roads and Central Virginia

The U.S. Army Norfolk Recruiting Company will present colors and the national anthem will be performed by local Sam’s Club management associate Olivia Gardner.

Sam’s Club will also showcase a variety of food samples and interactive product demonstrations including Chef Shamy Gourmet Butter and Bamboo Pillows.

Commitment to Military and Veterans

Sam’s Club is committed to supporting the men and women who serve our country.
