Allison+Partners Expands into Boston

Allison+Partners today announced its entry into Boston, expanding the agency’s footprint to 13 cities in the US and 19 worldwide. New York General Manager Anne Colaiacovo has been named Chair, Eastern region to manage the business operations of Boston, in addition to New York and Washington, DC. She will work closely with President of the Global Corporate Practice Matthew Della Croce, who has relocated to Boston to grow the agency’s client base and attract new talent locally. Both Della Croce and Colaiacovo are partners in the firm.

“We don’t enter a market without great consideration. Over the past year, Allison+Partners has enjoyed extraordinary growth with clients in New England and specifically in Boston, and we see a tremendous opportunity to continue that trajectory,” said Jonathan Heit, Allison+Partners’ co-founder and President, Americas. “Anne and Matthew’s complementary skill sets in consumer marketing and corporate communications, as well as Matthew and our new team’s local roots position us well in this new market.”

Since joining Allison+Partners in 2007, Colaiacovo has helped triple the size of the New York office, which serves marquee clients such as Progressive Insurance and Seventh Generation. Della Croce has grown the Global Corporate practice for five consecutive years, driven expansion into Europe, and deepened the agency’s capabilities in social impact, reputation management and crisis. Corporate work will account for nearly 20 percent of the agency’s billings in 2015.

“The market is ripe for an agency like ours that offers clients a unique one P+L structure, senior talent on every piece of business and services that can impact locally and scale globally,” said Colaiacovo. “A Boston-based team, combined with our deep expertise in consumer, technology and financial services sectors, puts us in a great position to add immediate value to other companies in the region.”

Allison+Partners currently represents New England-based iRobot, Seventh Generation, Coravin, SimpliSafe and Viber. The agency also recently helped launch the online-only business for Filene’s Basement, the discount retail chain that was born from Boston’s eminent department store, Filene’s.
