Cortland Regional Medical Center Joins Aetna’s Network for Medicare Advantage Members in Cortland County

Aetna (NYSE: AET) announced today that it has signed an agreement with Cortland Regional Medical Center that expands access to the center for members of Aetna’s individual and group Medicare Advantage plans in Upstate New York and the Finger Lakes region.

Under the agreement, which takes effect Jan. 1, 2016, members of Aetna’s individual and group Medicare Advantage plans can get covered services at in-network rates at Cortland Regional Medical Center. The agreement extends to all locations of Regional Medical Practice. Cortland Regional Medical Center has been in network for Aetna’s commercial members since 1993.

“Aetna is happy to expand its relationship with Cortland Regional Medical Center to include members of our individual and group Medicare Advantage plans,” said Steven Logan, market president for Aetna. “Our commercial members have benefited from having access to Cortland Regional Medical Center and affiliated doctors. Aetna provides health benefits to approximately 61,000 members in Upstate New York and the Finger Lakes. Those members have access to a contracted network that includes 14 hospitals and more than 2,800 primary care and specialist physicians.
