MannKind Corp. (MNKD) closed Tuesday's trading session up 15% on volume that was slightly above its 3 month average. MannKind has experienced a selloff in recent sessions which was the result of the company announcing they had terminated a licensing agreement with Sanofi.
MNKD is, in our opinion, already experiencing a short term technical bounce after being oversold. With nearly 38% of the float sold short MNKD could experience even more short term upside as shorts look to lock in profits on their already successful trade after shares of the company have slid 90% from their 52 week high.

Heartware International Inc. (HTWR) is another stock that has experienced heavy declines as of late with shares losing 35% of their value during Tuesday's session. The move was fueled when the company warned of a longer than hoped for delay on one of the company's medical devices.
The medical device company is off 72% from its 52 week highs and there is reason to believe that more downside could be in store. We believe that HTWR will experience a bounce by Friday and investors should wait for confirmation that a bottom is in before trying to time their entries. 10 to 20% gains could be up for grabs when HTWR changes trend.

Denbury Resources Inc. (DNR) created a new 52 week low on Tuesday when it traded as low as $1.31 before rebounding to close the day at $1.41. DNR, as well as other energy stocks, has continued to feel the pain as oil prices are under extreme selling pressure.
Our opinion on oil and related energy stocks is that currently there is greater risk of downside due to the global macro concerns arising from China. We do not like the energy sector as a long-term investment at this time, however, day and swing trade opportunities may provide upside. Keep in mind, there could be significant selling into strength on any rallies.
