iCarbonX Raises $106 Million in Series A for Big Health Data

iCarbonX, a China AI healthcare big data company started by Dr. Jun Wang, former CEO of BGI, is raising $106 million in a Series A funding round. The funding values iCarbonX at $760 million. The company plans to combine big data, omics (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, microbiomics), life style information and artificial intelligence. Using AI, the data will be mined to aid drug development and set standards to help people live healthy lives.
