Ellie Mae’s EllieCares Volunteer Program Raises Funds for Five Charitable Organizations

Ellie Mae® (NYSE: ELLI), a leading provider of innovative on-demand software solutions and services for the residential mortgage industry, today announced that through a series of fourth quarter 2015 employee-run events, the EllieCares volunteer program raised and donated funds to five charitable organizations. The employee-selected organizations are:

  • The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
  • The 401 Project
  • Ronald McDonald House Charities
  • The National Domestic Violence Hotline
  • Homes For Our Troops

“We’re proud to have raised these funds to donate to such impactful charitable organizations,” said Jonas Moe, vice president of product strategy and head of the EllieCares volunteer program. “In 2014, we were able to donate funds to two deserving charities. This year, through the overwhelming support from our employees across the country, we were able to give back to five charitable organizations. The EllieCares events throughout the winter have given our employees a wide variety of ways to get involved and to make a real impact.”

At Ellie Mae, the commitment to service goes beyond customers and into local communities through the employee-inspired EllieCares community outreach program. Ellie Mae supports employee participation by providing paid volunteer days and also matches employee contributions to company-sponsored fundraising events.

In the fourth quarter of 2015, employees from Ellie Mae offices across the country participated in a charity bocce tournament, a 50/50 raffle, a Silent Auction and a number of local activities, including supporting the Food Bank of the Rockies in Denver where employees boxed and palletized over 16,000 pounds of food, and organizing a meal packing event in Illinois where 230 volunteers packed over 50,000 meals for children in need.

Earlier this year, more than 150 employees participated in the Playhouse Program with Habitat for Humanity, to build playhouses to donate to families and community charities. Additionally, a team of Ellie Mae employees joined forces with the Alameda County Food Bank to sort, bag and distribute more than 45,000 pounds of produce.

“At Ellie Mae, our commitment to service truly flows into our communities,” said Jonathan Corr, Ellie Mae president and CEO. “As a growing company firmly rooted in the East Bay, and with offices across the country, we’re thrilled to give back to the communities where we live and work through volunteerism and philanthropy. And with the terrific efforts of our employees, we’re proud to support these five charitable organizations who are impacting so many people’s lives.”
