UPDATE 1-Itaú to boost provisions, curb loans as Brazil slump bites

SAO PAULO, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Itaú Unibanco Holding SA plans to boost loan-loss provisions faster than rivals and slow loan disbursements significantly this year, in a sign that Brazil's deepest recession in a century and slowing activity across Latin America could bite harder than many investors expected.
