HONG KONG, Feb 3, 2016 - (ACN Newswire) - Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and co-organised by The Hong Kong Exporters' Association, the world's leading Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27-30 April 2016. With long history of over 30 years, the Fair will welcome over 4,200 worldwide exhibitors along with the debut of a number of product zones this year, providing effective one-stop marketing and sourcing platform.

Innovative Products on Display

Hong Kong is an important world-renowned sourcing centre for giftware. A wide spectrum of gift items can be sourced here, ranging from basic to sophisticated and high-value merchandise. The Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair is well-known for its large scale, product variety and quality, as well as events. Attracting close to 52,000 global buyers from 138 countries and regions last year, the Fair has served as an ideal platform for exhibitors to expand business in international markets.

This year, the Fair will welcome over 4,200 global exhibitors, showcasing worldwide distinguished gifts items. A number of theme zones will be established, from which the highlighted Hall of Fine Designs houses high quality products of about 130 brands, such as B.Duck, Carpenter Tan, Moleskine, Nina Ricci, Sanrio and so on. Hong Kong exhibitor Starlite Visual Communication Ltd. has participated for several years. They launched their own label TeamGreen, which specialises in eco-friendly and DIY products, at the Fair. The company Marketing & Sales Manager David Lam said they received business enquiries during fair period and concluded deals with buyers from Australia, Japan and other Asian countries. He hoped to expand their businesses in Europe and the United States through the Fair.

A number of popular theme zones will return this year: World of Gift Ideas will feature products with creative and trend-setting designs while Avenue of Inspiration will set to offer innovative and unique pieces from Hong Kong's young entrepreneurs and designers, giving buyers a glimpse of local originality. Other product zones include Beauty, Health & Wellness, Fine Porcelain Gifts, Green Gifts, Hiking and Camping Products, iAccessories and so forth.

Catering to the latest market trends, a number of new product zones, including Art & DIY Gifts, BYOB, Photographic & Camera Accessories and Trophies & Medals, will make their debut. Wider product ranges can optimise sourcing efficiency and effectiveness.

The Hong Kong Exporters' Association Advocates Original Designs

The Hong Kong Exporters' Association (HKEA), the Fair's co-organiser, will establish an exciting pavilion, showcasing the competitive edge of Hong Kong exporters. The pavilion will include two major feature zones: Isle of Originality and Smart Design Village. And, organised by the HKEA, The Hong Kong Smart Gifts Design Awards 2016 is undergoing with an aim to foster creativity and innovation by Hong Kong corporate bodies, designers and students. For Corporate Group, a new product category of Travel Companion and Technology Award are added. The award presentation ceremony will be held on 27 April during the Gifts Fair, while winning pieces will be displayed during fair period.

Various Activities Facilitate Business Interaction

Product demonstrations and various networking events will offer golden chances to meet with quality buyers and industry players. A range of seminars and forums during the fair period will also cover a full spectrum of hot topics in premium gifts market.

The concurrent Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair will take place at AsiaWorld-Expo, offering expanded sourcing opportunities for gift and premium buyers. A free shuttle bus service will run between the HKCEC and the AsiaWorld-Expo at regular intervals during the course of the two fairs.
