Mr. Lotter talked about some of the misuses of mobile devices that parents should be concerned about during the segment. He said, “The number one problem that we have today is something called sexting. Three out of seven children actually transmit inappropriate content back and forth to each other. Of course, we also have cyber bullying. We have inappropriate website access and a lot of the social networking issues. But prevalent today, the most serious one, is the sexting issue.”
He continued by discussing how his app helps parents stay on top of what their children are doing on their mobile devices. He said, “My Mobile Watchdog was designed from the beginning to give parents peace of mind, to keep their children safe, and to know they are safe. We do that by deploying seven different kinds of technology. We monitor everything on the device. We take that information and we archive it. We can search it and apply rules to it so the parents can have alerts.”
