HARMAN and SoftBank Group Continue Successful Collaboration

HARMAN International Industries Incorporated (NYSE:HAR), the premier connected technologies company for automotive, consumer and enterprise markets, and SoftBank Group companies Sprint and Brightstar today announced their plan to launch the third generation of the highly successful Harman Kardon Onyx Studio line.

Since 2013, SoftBank (Japan), Sprint (U.S.A.) and Brightstar (worldwide) have been the provider of choice for HARMAN to sell the Harman Kardon ® Onyx Studio line to a global customer base. The Harman Kardon® Onyx Studio and Onyx Studio 2 received outstanding customer product reviews and were one of the best-selling wireless speakers in the U.S. As with its predecessors, the new Harman Kardon® Onyx Studio 3 combines award winning design and beautifully balanced form blended with an amazing audio performance delivering authentic, room filling sound from your phone or tablet.

“We are thrilled to extend our collaboration with the launch of the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 3,” said Michael Mauser, President of the HARMAN Lifestyle Audio Division. “With our partners we can reach global markets and a large customer base. We are proud to see that our customers are convinced by the superior quality and listening experience of our product and helped building the success of the first two generations. With the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 3 we are confident that we can take the collaboration to the next level.”

Crafted with high-end materials, the third generation of the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio is a full-featured, portable Bluetooth speaker that delivers powerful audio with Harman Kardon iconic design. You can enjoy music up to 5 hours of playtime thanks to the rechargeable battery. Wirelessly connect two Harman Kardon Wireless Dual Sound enabled speakers together to elevate your music listening experience. Make clear phone calls over the speaker with its built-in microphone, which is powered by noise and echo cancelling technology. The exquisite design will enhance the style and complement any room.

“Based on the success of our collaboration with HARMAN, we are excited to remain the exclusive carrier in the United States for the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 3,” said Rod Millar, Senior Vice President of Product Development at Sprint. “Our customers received the first two generations incredibly well and with the attractive third product generation, we are enabled to continue bringing a superior sound experience to Sprint customers.”
