Ironsides Partners LLC and its affiliates, one of the largest stockholders of Fifth Street Senior Floating Rate Corp. (NASDAQ:FSFR) with a combined ownership interest of approximately 6.4% of FSFR’s outstanding shares, today announced that, according to preliminary vote tabulations, a majority of FSFR stockholders voted for the election of Ironsides nominee, Richard W. Cohen along with one of FSFR’s director nominees.
Robert C. Knapp, Chief Investment Officer of Ironsides, said, “We thank FSFR stockholders for supporting our efforts to effect meaningful change, including a sale of the Company. While the election of Richard is a clear victory for all FSFR stockholders, it comes amidst disturbing conduct by the controllers of FSFR’s external manager to override public stockholders. We encourage stockholders who share our concerns to join Ironsides in voicing their frustrations to the Board. We look forward to continuing our efforts to promote improved performance and governance at FSFR for the benefit of all stockholders.”
