There are few duties more onerous than picking up spilled trash in the driveway or spread across the lawn and road. That type of mess ends when using the Garbage Container Support. The Garbage Container Support is a coated steel, or stainless steel, threaded rod rack designed to accommodate multiple outdoor trash cans, and keep these secure, stable, and organized. Use of the Garbage Container Support prevents the tipping over and spilling of trash cans due to trash bag removal, harsh weather, and rummaging animals – thus sparing property owners from the dirty and messy clean up duties that could have otherwise resulted from spilled cans of trash.
The Garbage Container Support is fabricated with rubber-coated steel or stainless-steel threaded rods. Dimensions vary to accommodate various size and shaped trash cans but a standard rack measures 23½ “H x 63”Lx 22”W and has 6 vertical posts inclined slightly to the outside – one at either end and two evenly spaced along either side – and an oblong or near-elliptical base, set a few inches above ground-level. They are supported by circular foot-pads at the base of vertical support rods with a similar appearance but larger at the top of the posts. The posts pass through machined holes in the horizontal rack “panels,” and are secured to the horizontal racks by 5/16” washers and nuts. The rack “panels” feature two crossbars equidistant from the ends. When assembled it holds three trash cans with the middle can secured by a crossbar on either side. The dimensions can be altered to contain a greater number of cans should that be the needs of the purchaser such as the needs for a restaurant or business instead of a residence. It also can be tailored with color-codes for certain categories of recyclables or simply to appeal to individual taste. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the Garbage Container Support.
The Garbage Container Support is Patent Pending and was invented by Jagdesh Gokhul, a machinist from Bronx.
