Dow’s historic close above 23,000 belies a flicker of weakness

The Dow Jones Industrial Average punched firmly higher on Wednesday, to a historic close above 23,000. However, the record-setting advance for the more than 120-year old stock-market gauge might hint at some softness in its latest climb to a 1,000-point milestone.
