New data show that flavored electronic cigarettes started to take over the market about two years ago. Flavored and menthol e-cigarettes made up roughly 56 percent of all industry salesin 2016, up from 42 percent in 2012, according to a new CDC study. Flavored cigarettes are particularly worrisome to public health officials because of their appeal to teenagers.
