Record cold grounds more than 1,500 flights, UPS, USPS suspend some deliveries

Record cold in the Midwest grounded more than 1,500 flights on Thursday, a second day that the blast of frigid air curtailed operations at some of the country's busiest airports. Airlines said it was too cold for ground workers to access and service planes. Package deliveries in some areas were suspended.
