U.S. Rep. Collins seeking appointment to Isakson's Senate seat

U.S. Rep. Doug Collins, R-Gainesville, is lobbying Gov. Brian Kemp for an appointment as temporary successor to retiring U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., The New York Times reported Thursday.
