Target's sales surge eases with more shoppers stuck at home; retailer extends raises

Target Corp. said Thursday that its comparable sales in April are up 5 percent from a year ago — a big comedown from the 20 percent jump it reported in March, as consumers cleared out entire aisles in a coronavirus-inspired frenzy. Those customers are largely shopping from home now.
