Tech companies have made big promises, and small gains, for diversity and inclusion

Tech companies have spent years and millions of dollars trying to diversifying their workforces. Still, an average of only 32% of employees at 10 major U.S. tech companies are women. Hispanic employees make up only 8%, Black employees represent only 7% and just 0.5% are Indigenous. These percentages do not represent the greater U.S. population. Why are tech companies still struggling to diversify their workforces and why is it important that they do so?
