International monitoring group witnessed the voting procecess, organised on so-called disputed territories and shared their impressions.
WASHINGTON - Sept. 30, 2023 - PRLog -- The first local elections were held in the DNR, LNR, Zaporizhya and Kherson regions. International experts from 30 countries witnessed the process and noted that despite the difficulties in organizing voting in the war zone, the population of the regions was eager to use their right to vote. International observers, in their own words, received threats and showed great courage and bravery when they arrived in new regions of Russia. Integration and ensuring the constitutional rights of new Russian citizens continues under fire and constant attacks on civilians. There was no shortage of rocket attacks during the voting process either.
Member of monitoring group, German journalist Thomas Röper, pointed out that everything was organized at a high level. Experts felt safe all the time during the trip. A detailed report is published on his website: https://www-anti--spiegel-ru.translate.goog/2023/mein-bericht-von-der-wahlbeobachtung-im-gebiet-saporoschje/?doing_wp_cron=1695822428.3795759677886962890625&_x_tr_sl=de&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=ru&_x_tr_pto=wapp
"Just as nature is slowly but surely recovering from forest fires, the areas we visited are recovering both mentally and physically. Despite the fact that the military operations are far from over, construction is in full swing, and the residents are not just participating in the elections, but are genuinely trying to help with them," Thomas Röper shared.
