Command Audio Co-Founder to Chair International IP Conference in Prague

Don Bogue, CEO and co-founder of Command Audio Corp., will chair an international conference dealing with intellectual property (IP) and patent issues to be held in Prague on June 12-13.

A pioneer in the development of broadcast, on-demand media technology, Command Audio holds more than 60 US and foreign patents, primarily relating to time-shifted audio incorporated in broadcast programming.

The Prague conference, entitled Reinforcing Your Intellectual Property Portfolios Emerging Markets, will have a major focus on issues facing companies competing in China, India, the Middle East and Turkey.

Among the other companies presenting will be Alcatel Lucent, Caterpillar, eBay International, Epson and Samsonite.

IP regulation and patent issues are enormously important in established markets, Bogue said. However, in emerging markets where laws and regulation are still evolving, there is a particular need for the expertise of companies like Command Audio, who hold, license and enforce patents issued from jurisdictions in both the developed and developing worlds.

Having been involved with international patent/IP issues for more than a decade at Command Audio, I am honored to have the opportunity to chair this conference with its global participants.

Command Audio, founded in 1995, has licensed its patents and technology to industry leaders in the consumer and automotive electronics fields, including Motorola (NYSE: MOT), ReplayTV®, Sony (NYSE: SNE), Scientific Atlanta (a Cisco company, NASDAQ: CSCO), XM Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: XMSR) and iBiquity Digitals HD Radio.

Command Audios patents are used for applications that span the television, personal computer, digital radio, cell phone and game console industries.
