Vodafone and Hutchsion to merge Australian operations

Vodafone, the world's largest wireless carrier, and Hutchison Telecommunications, a unit controlled by Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-shing, said Monday they will merge their telecommunications businesses in Australia, forging an equal-share wireless operator.
